My name is Joanne Gregory. I have been involved with western horses for the

past 30 years. I mainly show my quarter horse gelding in western pleasure

and showmanship and have to say that showmanship is my favourite class.
I am also an AQHA accredited judge and really enjoy judging.
It has taken me all over Australia and to New Zealand and New Caledonia.

Through judging I have met many great people with the same horsey interest as mine.
I also work full time for a Defence Contractor as a Performance Coordinator and this

also sees me travel to all of our sites around Australia. I have become involved with the AQHA Amateur Division as I believe the future of the Quarter Horse in Australia is through the Amateurs and wish to help where I can to promote this great horse and the Amateur riders and handlers.

I have been involved in showing quarter horses for approx 7 years and live on a 10 acre property in South Maroota NSW near the Hawkesbury River.
I have a positive and passionate outlook towards the amateur division and wish to contribute to the implementation of promotional programs and cultivate positive and enduring relationships with my fellow amateurs. I maintain the importance of a friendly and helpful perspective and a positive proud approach to my committee position.
I look forward to meeting up with all my fellow Amateurs at upcoming events and having a friendly chat or discuss any issues or comments you may like to raise about the Amateur Division.
